THE PEOPLE BEHIND KCFC

What exists today is the result of what came before.

JOSHUA HOAGLAN

DIANA HOAGLAN-BLAIR

GUIDED BY PURPOSE

KA-WAI OLA GRAHAM HOAGLAN

Diana Hoaglan-Blair serves as Treasurer of Koa Cloud Forest Conservancy. She provides financial oversight and organizational support to the Board of Directors.

Throughout her life, Diana has demonstrated an enduring commitment to service, whether at home or abroad, always spreading a message of hope and love. Her wisdom and guidance help ensure that organizational resources are stewarded responsibly in support of the organization's mission.

Diana shares KCFC's core belief that any act of care, done once or sustained over time, creates meaningful and lasting impacts seen for generations to come.

Ka-wai Ola Hoaglan co-founded Koa Cloud Forest Conservancy and serves as Secretary of the organization. Born and raised in Hawaiʻi, Ka-wai brings a perspective shaped by a lifetime of profound connections to these lands, waters, and communities.

Having spent his life immersed in the rhythms of this ʻāina and the ecosystems that sustain it, Ka-wai carries generations of place-based knowledge, observation, and lived experience. His relationship with these lands, waters, and communities helps shape KCFC's vision, grounding its work in a deep understanding of the connections that sustain both forests and people.

Ka-wai plays an active role in ecological observation, community outreach, and long-term planning efforts that support KCFC's mission. His work is guided by the belief that stewardship begins with relationship: to place, to community, and to the living systems that have shaped and sustained life within Hawaiʻi for generations.

Koa Cloud Forest Conservancy is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors committed to stewardship, service, and thinking beyond their own lifetimes. Together, the Board helps provide strategic direction and organizational oversight in support of KCFC's mission to protect and better understand Hawaiʻi's native cloud forest ecosystems.

We share a common core belief that meaningful stewardship extends beyond any one person, event, or generation.

As KCFC grows, we remain committed to ensuring a future where native forests flourish, communities remain connected to the places that sustain them, and stewardship is carried forward from one generation to the next. Join in our efforts, your contribution will be felt and seen for generations to come.

Joshua Hoaglan co-founded Koa Cloud Forest Conservancy alongside his love, Ka-wai Ola. His professional background spans healthcare operations, nonprofit leadership, executive administration, and regulatory compliance.

Throughout his career, Joshua has worked within healthcare systems, housing programs, and nonprofit organizations, helping build resilient operational systems, strengthen organizational capacities, and advance mission-driven initiatives. In 2026, he led KCFC from a shared vision to incorporation, 501(c)(3) status, governance development, and public launch.

Joshua's stewardship philosophy is rooted in the belief that healthy communities, healthy ecosystems, and personal well-being are forever interconnected. His work at KCFC focuses on ecological observation, restoration,  education, and furthering the connections that sustain us all.

What we choose to do now shapes what follows.
